By creating an account or using Entendi, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Entendi is a comprehension accountability tool for AI-assisted software development. It observes technical concepts in your AI interactions, probes your understanding through Socratic questioning, and maintains a Bayesian knowledge graph of your assessed mastery. The service is available as a CLI plugin, MCP server, and web dashboard.
You must be at least 16 years old and provide a valid email address to use Entendi. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Entendi offers free and paid plans. Paid plans (Pro, Team, University) are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days notice sent to the email on your account. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle after the notice period.
If a payment fails, we will retry according to Stripe's retry schedule. If payment cannot be collected after the retry period, your account will be downgraded to the free tier. You will not lose your data, but access to paid features will be restricted.
The free plan includes up to 25 tracked concepts and 5 probes per day. Codebases, syllabi, and other paid features are not available on the free plan. We reserve the right to adjust free tier limits with 30 days notice.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until then. We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel, your account reverts to the free tier.

Your probe responses and learning data belong to you. You can export or delete them at any time.
Entendi's software, algorithms, assessment methodology, user interface design, branding, and documentation are proprietary and owned by Entendi. These terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the right to use the service as intended.
If you create or join an organization on Entendi:
Your use of Entendi is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
Entendi is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We are not liable for inaccurate mastery assessments, learning outcomes, or any decisions you or your organization make based on Entendi's data. Mastery scores are statistical estimates, not guarantees of competence.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Entendi's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid to Entendi in the 12 months preceding the claim. If you have not paid anything, our liability is limited to $0.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, particularly the acceptable use provisions. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination unless immediate action is needed to protect the service or other users.
You may delete your account at any time. Deletion removes all your data including mastery scores, assessment history, probe responses, and behavioral profiles. This action is irreversible.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service will be resolved through binding arbitration in New York, NY, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
